Do your phone numbers add up?

I recently came across this quote from Charles Babbage and it really stuck in my mind.

Very often, poor quality data in your CRM can be seen as an invisible issue. After all, it is difficult to report on those customers that you didn’t connect with or manage to serve.

So with poor data quality, very often the value lost is difficult to quantify as you weren’t able to action the data. If that telephone number had connected, what could the business benefit have been?
